I have to say that a few years ago, I would ask people "What is HTML?" And even though I was into computers and people would reply that it was a computer language, I never quite understood it. You see back then I was into mostly computer hardware. Taking my computer apart to upgrade the hard drive, add a new port, or try to make my computer become this impressive machine. The fact remained, however, that no matter how impressive the hardware may have been, it was never noticed as it was always on the inside of the computer.
Eventually, I had created an account with a then popular internet service provider. Users were given the ability to "dress up" their personal profile, giving them their own personal space on the internet. Backgrounds, images, borders, font types, and so on. I scoured the internet looking for animated gifs and other images to represent my personality, trying to give myself an online presence. That is when my interest in HTML coding began to grow into something more. I wanted to imagine, create, then produce. I always had a thing for taking things apart and putting them back together, giving me the feeling that I had built it from the ground up. Here on the internet, I am given the ability and opportunities to use my creativity and make something from almost nothing. And now, I have put my interest in this fascinating world of technology to good use and to give others the opportunity to get their own message out there or give their business it's own online presence. |
Now, I believe that being honest from the beginning is the best approach, so I must say that I've never taken courses in web design or graphic design. Everything I know and have learned, I've taught myself through books on web design and graphic design.
If there's something I don't already know, I'll research it on the internet or make a trip to my local book store and research it there. This will, in turn, benefit both of us. Not only will I learn a new skill, but I will also have the opportunity to present fresh new ideas with that newly aquired skill. What does this mean for you? Well, it means that I work alone and don't answer to anyone else, other than my client. I work directly with each of my clients so that I personally know what they want. This gives me the ability to research the necessary outlets in order to come up with a design that every client is pleased with. There is no middle-man in the process and I work diligently to provide the best quality service that I possibly can, at an affordable cost to you. My logic is this - you're only as good as your word. And I give you my word that I work closely with every client and I'm not satisfied until my client is satisfied. |
